Trends.vc is a community and newsletter made up of 50,000+ curious entrepreneurs. They cover topics such as No-Code, Micro Private Equity, Micro-SaaS, and more and also work to build profitable businesses while sharpening thoughts and learning together via masterminds.
Objectives
As an early-stage company, Trends.vc has been building momentum after its founder Andrew Riley was preparing for a second launch after growing his community to 1000+ members in ten months and preparing to launch an updated version of its product on product hunt, a platform to share and discover new products.
Our primary objective was to convert as many users as possible on launch day on product hunt and afterward.
Because the first day of launching on product hunt is crucial for building authority, gaining traction, and converting potential leads, we set out to apply a performance branding methodology to assist in Trends.vc’s updated launch, lay the grounds for sustainable growth, while developing a brand’s ethos that will set them apart as they continue to grow. Despite the challenge of launching on product hunt, we designed our strategy with the goal of increasing revenue by optimizing the web platform for maximum conversion on launch day.
Challenges
How could we ensure that we keep bounce rates to a minimum while maximizing conversion rates on launch day?
One of the main challenges we faced was ensuring that the website was optimized for maximum conversion on launch day. This included making sure the website was easy to navigate, had clear calls to action, and provided relevant information to potential customers.
Another challenge was keeping bounce rates to a minimum. Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who leave a website after only viewing one page. To minimize bounce rates, we needed to make sure the website was engaging and provided a good user experience. This included using relevant and high-quality images, creating compelling headlines, and providing useful information.
Additionally, we faced the challenge of standing out on Product Hunt, a platform with a lot of competition and a large number of new products being launched daily. To overcome this, we focused on creating a strong brand identity and messaging that differentiated Trends.vc from competitors and resonated with the target audience.

We started by optimizing the messaging on the landing page. This included creating compelling headlines and updating the existing copy to clearly communicate the value, features, and benefits of Trends.vc's product. We also focused on providing clear calls to action

To identify the most effective messaging and visuals for connecting with the audience and driving conversions, we built a performance branding matrix that enabled us to experiment with a variety of value propositions and creatives and track the results, so that we could identify the combination that resonated most with the audience. This helped us to create a consistent and effective landing page.

To maximize the effectiveness of our growth efforts, we leveraged Trends.vc's existing digital presence and brand by analyzing it and then optimizing these assets to modern conversion standards.

To increase trust and credibility and demonstrate the effectiveness of the product and the value it provides to its members, we collected testimonials and success stories from Trends.vc community members and embedded them in the landing page to further increase conversion rates.

We brought it all together on Webflow by building a platform focused on speed and security, so that visitors would have a positive experience

Finally, on launch day, we actively participated in the launch on product hunt, to drive traffic to the landing page and increase conversion rates.
